WE ARE PUSHING TOWARDS

It's time to get started.

As we look towards the future and the potential growth of our community, it is important that we come together to ensure that our church is prepared to serve and welcome all who may come through our doors.

Let us remember that with hard work and dedication, we can achieve greater things! Let us not be afraid to dream big and to strive for excellence in all that we do. It is our vision to be prepared for what God has planned for the next few years for the Heath community, and we will not sit back and wait!

We need your help and support to get through this.
It's time to get started.

Worship Center Remodel

This year we celebrate the 65th Anniversary of our church. From the beginning, First Baptist Heath has been a church ready to do whatever it takes to reach our community for Christ. In our 65 years, we have changed our name three different times! We began as Madison Baptist Church, then became Heath Baptist, and finally First Baptist Church of Heath. We have bought property, built buildings, and taken on and paid off debt. The believers who stepped out in faith 65 years ago believed that God could do Greater Things. They were willing to make the sacrifices and changes needed to reach their community. Now it's our turn to step out in faith, just like they did, believing that God can do Greater Things.

A key part of preparing for God to do Greater Things is remodeling our Worship Center. We have contracted with a local design company to begin the process of envisioning how our space could best be updated and used to reach future generations. It has been over 20 years since our Worship Center was expanded and remodeled. God has greatly used the last 20 years, but now it is time to prepare for the next 25.

"Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father." - John 14:12

The Plan.

Rally Together.

We need everybody to achieve our goal this year. What is the goal? 100% participation. We are excited to partner together as a church to see what God will do. We pray that all would give what they can so that we can achieve greater things.

Make Upgrades.

We hope to complete renovations in the foyer and worship center of our church building. These upgrades are much needed and are in motion by faith that God is going to move greatly

See God Move.

With our county being one of the fastest growing in the nation, and more expectations coming in the next few years, we want to be ready. Upon completion of these changes, we will be ready to make a greater impact in our community!

Why Remodel the Worship Center?

1. Create a warm and more welcoming sanctuary that encourages community and worship. Updating the room will significantly impact guests, and our faith family feel at home and able to worship.

2. Move the stage to the front of the sanctuary. The current location of the stage causes us to have less seating, wasted space, bad sound quality and consistency, a small stage, and causes the Cross to not be the focal point of the room.

3. Create a fellowship area. Currently, our foyer is too small to accommodate fellowship before or after church. Most new churches today create a foyer/fellowship area that's roughly 50% of the size of their sanctuary. While we can't make a space that big, we do want to create more space for people to fellowship, encourage one another and pray together before and after church. By maximizing our space in the sanctuary, we believe we can create a fellowship area without losing any seating capacity.

We believe that at this point remodeling the Worship Center isn't a luxury but is essential to the future health and growth of the church. God has called us to be constantly pushing forward for the kingdom so that more people may hear the gospel and come to know Jesus Christ as their Savior.

The McKnight Group
